A big congrats to the England team for making it through to the final 16 in the World Cup - it was truly nailbiting stuff! Let's hope they can deliver again this Sunday when they take on Germany (no history there like!), hopefully it won't come down to a penalty shootout this time. Well it's Friday already but its left us wondering just where has this week gone? Lots has been happening out and about Fort William and we saw the arrival of some more great funny gifts. We're looking forward to trying out one of these later. Kicking back in the sun with our favourite beverage and popping in a Chill Pill - that is an ice cube one of course!

This weekend also sees the return of the extremely popular Mountain Bike World Cup to Nevis Range. Here the worlds best mountain biking talent battle it out on one of the longest and toughest courses on the circuit. All for the chance to claim the title of World Champion. Well we're looking forward to another Bank Holiday Weekend here at Giftmonger. The weather forecast is a bit mixed but we're hoping it stays dry long enough to get a spot of gardening done...we might even try out these new Flower Grenades. Well, we've been having a busy few weeks of it here. The SSDT's have been and gone. What a great week that was and we were pretty lucky with the weather too - don't think it rained once the whole week the trials were on. We've also had lots of lovely new gifts in the shop including some new Black + Blum products and some handy compact kits packed full of essentials for the summer. Plus, tomorrow sees the return of the successful event 10 Under the Ben at Nevis Range - just a few miles from our door. A 10 hour mountain bike endurance race to see who can complete the most laps of the track in the 10 hours. Phew...sounds like a fun day oot but a lot of hard work! Good luck to all who enter.

Looking forward to a busy Bank Holiday Weekend in the shop. The High Street is already jumpin' - and the skies are blue, what more could we ask for...? Don't know how long the nice weather is gonna last however, don't think the forecast is great (but lets forget that small issue for the minute and keep our fingers crossed for some nice weather). Next week also sees the return of the Scottish Six Day Trials to Lochaber - a great event that we always look forward to. It all kick starts today with the Pre 65's Trial in Kinlochleven. Good luck to all taking part, we'll keep our fingers crossed for some dry weather for you all. We hope you don't get caught short in the rain, why not step out prepared with one of these handy umbrella's. It's hard to believe with the blue sky outside our windows at the moment, that the snow is forecast to be on its way again this weekend. This time it was at the Classic Car Easter Parade that took place in Fort William's High Street on Sunday. The Granite House Citroen H Van was amoung those on display in Cameron Square and the public were welcome to come and have a look. The vehicles on display included classic Ford's, Mini's and Volkswagen's - just a small selection of cars owned by various drivers from around the Lochaber area who recently joined together to form a Classic Car Owners club for Fort William.
